Vanessa Lenz's In Character is a series of cinematic portraits depicting fictional characters portrayed by actors. Each photograph is part of a larger untold story. Shot over several years, the series depicts private moments where characters are truly themselves—for better or worse. The tone of each photograph is set by the character’s emotive expression, their dress, the lighting and art direction.
